-Super EASY and FAST snack that your kids can make on their own-
It could be from years of people telling me that they don’t cook meals at home because they don’t know how to cook or don’t enjoy cooking, but this way of thinking has lead to them eating countless meals out and adding on a ton extra calories contributing to their weight gain.
I have also sat down with individuals in their 20’s, 30’s, and even 40’s who have told me they have felt like their childhood eating habits set by their parents contributed to their weight gain and to this place they don’t want to be… with no idea where to start or what eating healthy really even means. A meal at home was mac and cheese from a box or a frozen pizza and a “good sit down” meal was done at a restaurant.
Maybe all the stories over the years have made me ultra sensitive to wanting my own kids to learn to cook and also be able to help dictate what we have for snacks and meals.
Besides putting it in the oven and taking it out my 6 year old made this Banana & Peanut butter snack on toasted flat bread on her own.
1 Tb Olive oil
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Brush olive oil onto one side of each piece of flat bread. With a pizza cutter have kids cut into pieces. (I let my daughter have some fun and do any shape/size she wanted). Place on a backing sheet and cook for 5-6 minutes. Let cool and top with peanut butter and banana slices.
That’s it! Simple and healthy snack for kids of any age.
